The Clarksville Fire Department will host a soup supper Sunday, March 8, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Amvets Community Center in downtown Clarksville.
All proceeds will support fundraising efforts to purchase a new fire truck to replace a nearly 40-year-old unit currently in service.
The menu will include a choice of chili, vegetable beef or broccoli cheese soup, along with cinnamon rolls and drinks. Carryout meals will be available.
The cost is a freewill donation.
Fire department officials say they appreciate the churches of Clarksville for providing the homemade soups for the event.
Community members are encouraged to attend and support the department’s efforts to update its equipment.
