The Belmond-Klemme boys basketball team will host West Fork in a Class 1A District 2 semifinal Thursday. The game will air on 104.9 KLMJ.
The Broncos (16-5) defeated North Iowa 86-55 on Tuesday in the opening round of Class 1A postseason play. Brody Heifner led all scorers with 27 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double. Kysen Lamb added 18 points and Juan Medina finished with 13 as the Broncos cruised to victory.
The Warhawks (10-13) enter following a more competitive first-round win over Lake Mills. After trailing in the first quarter, West Fork responded over the final three quarters to secure a 70-60 victory. Jayden Haller, Keston Lambertsen and Ayden Bonner each scored in double figures.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. with pregame coverage starting at 6:45. The winner advances to face either Newman Catholic or North Union in the district final.
