
The Franklin County Extension and Outreach and Franklin County 4-H are launching a new opportunity for area youth interested in gardening and horticulture.
Youth in fourth through 12th grade in Franklin and Cerro Gordo counties are invited to join the new 4-H Garden Club at no cost.
Participants will also have the option to maintain their own garden plot at the Franklin County Community Garden located at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
The first meeting which will explore seed starting along with local expert guest speakers is scheduled for Feb. 26 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the 4-H Food Stand on the Franklin County Fairgrounds.
