U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins has announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is opening enrollment for the Farmer Bridge Assistance program, providing 11 billion dollars in one-time payments to row crop producers facing trade market disruptions and rising production costs.
Enrollment opens Feb. 23 and runs through April 17, 2026. The program is administered through USDA’s Farm Service Agency under the Commodity Credit Corporation Charter Act.
Eligible commodities include corn, soybeans, wheat, oats, barley, sorghum, rice, cotton and several oilseeds. Payments are based on 2025 planted acres, cost of production data and USDA supply and demand estimates. Prevent plant acres are not eligible.
Producers who filed their 2025 acreage report and have a Login.gov account can access pre-filled applications online at fsa.usda.gov/fba. Applications may also be submitted through local FSA county offices.
USDA says producers who apply online could receive payments as early as Feb. 28.
More information is available at fsa.usda.gov or through local FSA offices.
