Al Duea Memorial Beef Clinic set for March 21 in Hampton

Franklin County 4-H is partnering with the Cerro Gordo and Hardin County extension offices to host the Al Duea Memorial Beef Clinic next month in Hampton.

The clinic will be held Saturday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Hampton United Methodist Church, 100 Central Ave. E. An optional Youth for the Quality Care of Animals training will be offered from 8 to 9 a.m.

All 4-H and FFA youth in Franklin, Cerro Gordo and Hardin counties are invited to attend. During the clinic, participants will learn about cow-calf operations, explore the calving process, hear from a local veterinarian and take part in a hands-on beef Skill-A-Thon activity. Lunch will be provided.

The clinic is free for Franklin County 4-H and FFA members, but pre-registration is required. The registration deadline is March 13. Registration can be completed online through the link posted with this story at radioonthego.com or by contacting Laela Ragsdale at laela@iastate.edu.
