Clarksville FFA chapter marks growth during National FFA Week

As National FFA Week is celebrated across the country, the Clarksville FFA chapter continues to grow just three years after launching its program.

The chapter began in the fall of 2023 and now serves 34 students in grades seven through 12, roughly 20% of the student body.

Anna Richards, the chapter’s adviser, says with two years behind them, the focus has shifted toward long-term growth.

“So we’re going into our third year now here and just focusing a lot on building leadership opportunities and activities for the chapter as we get a few more years under our belt,” says Richards.

Richards says the organization has received strong support from the community.

“I think that a lot of the community members here have been interested in having an ag and FFA program for a long time,” says Richards. “So, they’re a lot of help with different events we put on, fundraisers. They’re always willing to help out wherever we need, which is great.”
