The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation has released its 2025 impact report, highlighting their support for veterans, active-duty military members, and their families across Iowa.
Project Food and Fellowship provided up to $2,500 to help cover food costs for social gatherings hosted by active duty service members, reservists, veterans, Gold Star families, and military families. In 2025, 67 organizations received funding, with more than $80,000 awarded throughout the year.
Through the Pork for Patriots program, 6,396 pork loins were distributed in late October to support Veterans Day celebrations and appreciation events across the state.
The Pork Care Package program delivered 17,117 care packages in 2025. Each package included $40 in coupons for pork products such as fresh pork, ground pork, ribs, and bacon.
The My Veteran Hero program recognized 2,854 veterans across Iowa in 2025 with custom branch embroidered Iowa Veteran hats.
