Rowan City Council sets agenda for March 2 meeting

The Rowan City Council will meet Monday, March 2, at 7 p.m. at the Rowan Community Center.

Council members hear an appeal on an ordinance violation filed by Dallas McDaniel.

Under new business, representatives from MIDAS and Wright County Economic Development will discuss potential grant opportunities related to the city’s water tower. The council will also consider an amendment to the fiscal year 2026 budget and several ordinance amendments, including changes to the water debt service surcharge, the city’s chicken ordinance, and fines for animals at large.

Additional discussion items include parking at the water department and an insurance claim update.

Old business includes county maintenance on city streets, abandoned properties at 135 and 138 Main Street, septic issues, nuisance abatement and building permits.
