UPDATED: Three found dead in Mason City home; no foul play suspected

Mason City police have released additional information in the investigation into the deaths of three adults found at a Mason City residence.

According to a news release from the Mason City Police Department, the individuals have been identified as Larry Gene Walker, 73; Shey William Pals, 39; and Morgan Lee Tarr, 33.

The Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct autopsies on all three individuals. Authorities say evidence collected at the scene is being processed and laboratory analysis is underway.

Officials say it could take several weeks for final reports to be completed. Determinations regarding the cause and manners of death will be released once the investigations are finalized.

Authorities are investigating the deaths of three adults found inside a Mason City home Saturday afternoon, Feb. 28.

According to a press release from the Mason City Police Department, emergency responders were dispatched shortly before 5 p.m. to a residence in the 500 block of South Adams Street after receiving a report that multiple individuals were unresponsive inside the home.

Personnel from the Mason City Fire Department and Mason City Police Department entered the residence and located three deceased adults.

Police said there were no signs of foul play or struggle at this time. A medical examiner’s investigator responded to the scene, and the residence, along with the surrounding area, has been secured as the investigation continues.

No further details have been released.
