Registration is now open for the new NIACC Career Center in Franklin County. Beginning in fall 2026, the center in Hampton will allow high school students to earn college credentials while completing their high school diploma at no cost to families.
The career center will provide hands-on training in health careers, including certified nursing assistant (CNA) certification, as well as construction and welding.
During the program’s first year, seniors will have the opportunity to complete a one-year certificate, while juniors can begin a two-year program.
Valeria Gonzalez, director of the NIACC Career Center in Franklin County, said the program is intended to provide students with practical opportunities while supporting the region’s workforce needs.
“Families in our area want their students to have real options,” Gonzalez said. “This center gives students confidence, direction and practical skills they can use right away. It strengthens our workforce and supports our communities at the same time.”
Students interested in the program can register through their high school counselors or speak with their NIACC college and career transition counselor.
