Nursing students at Ellsworth Community College will have a new pathway to continue their education through a partnership with Iowa State University.
The Iowa Valley Community College District and Iowa State University recently announced a new articulation agreement aligning the nursing curriculum at Ellsworth Community College and Marshalltown Community College with Iowa State’s RN-to-BSN program.
The agreement allows students who complete their associate-level nursing education through the Iowa Valley Community College District to move directly into Iowa State’s online RN-to-Bachelor of Science in Nursing program when they are ready to continue their education.
Beth Johanns, associate dean of health occupations at Ellsworth Community College, said in a press release nursing is a profession built on lifelong learning, and partnerships like this help nurses continue to grow in the field.
Students interested in beginning their nursing studies through IVCCD can find admission requirements and application deadlines on the Iowa Valley Community College District website.
