The South Hardin girls basketball team entered the 2025-26 season under new leadership as Kellie Drury took over as head coach. While Drury was familiar with the program after previously coaching junior high basketball for the Tigers, the season marked her first at the varsity level.

South Hardin opened the year with four straight losses before picking up its first win prior to the holiday break with a victory over AGWSR. The second half of the season featured alternating stretches of success and setbacks. South Hardin finished the season 10-13 overall and 7-11 in North Iowa Cedar League play.

Ayda Eller led the Tigers in scoring, averaging 13.1 points per game. She also led the team in assists and earned second-team all-conference honors in the North Iowa Cedar League. Adeline Cook ranked second on the team in scoring at 8.8 points per game and also finished second in assists. Cook received honorable mention all-conference recognition.

Additional postseason recognition went to Gracie LaVelle, who was named academic all-state by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.

South Hardin will graduate six seniors: Lydia Butler, Makayla Hardee, Gracie LaVelle, Ava Guiles, Cleo Oban and Kathleen Mosher.
