Iowa House Speaker Pat Grassley announced Wednesday, March 11 that he has filed for re-election to the State House of Representatives, seeking another term representing House District 57.
The district includes all of Butler County and part of Bremer County in northeast Iowa. Grassley, a Republican from New Hartford, said support from constituents has guided his time in office and motivated him to run again.
Grassley was first elected to the legislature in 2006 and became speaker of the Iowa House in 2019. Before that, he chaired the chamber’s appropriations and agriculture committees.
Election day will be November 3, 2026.
