The Aplington City Council met on Wednesday, March 11.
Jeff Ridder with the public works department presented the council with two quotes for a roof replacement on the library, post office and community center, and they approved a quote from Grell Roofing LLC.
The Aplington Recreation Complex liability insurance increase was discussed, and the council decided they would not cover the cost of the increase. The city clerk will contact the city’s insurance agent to ask about lowering the requirement for liability limits.
They also set a budget workshop meeting for Wednesday, March 25 at 6:15 p.m.
