Grundy Center council set agenda for March 16 meeting

The Grundy Center City Council will meet in regular session Monday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the city hall council chamber.

The council will consider a request from Crystal Davis of South Porch Cider Company to use a parking space on G Avenue for mobile food trucks on several dates between April and August.

The council will also hear a presentation from Chris Fleshner regarding a Pony Express fundraiser scheduled for April 4, as well as a presentation from Rachelle K. Thompson on the city’s fiscal year 2025 annual audit.

Other agenda items include the first reading of an ordinance amending city clerk and public works director positions, a resolution authorizing the mayor to sign a five-year agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation, and appointments to the Community Center Board.

Council members will also discuss a proposed ordinance related to junk and junk vehicles and may enter a closed session to discuss a potential real estate purchase.
