State Senator Dennis Guth of Klemme has endorsed Republican gubernatorial candidate Brad Sherman, praising the former Iowa lawmaker and pastor for his commitment to conservative values and Iowa families. Guth says Sherman consistently promotes principles rooted in the nation’s founding, not just campaign slogans, and highlights his willingness to listen, learn, and thoughtfully address issues he may not know well.

Guth also emphasizes Sherman’s support for property rights, noting that he recognizes rights come from God and will not be surrendered except for public use. The endorsement calls Sherman approachable, grounded in faith, and focused on protecting freedoms Iowans hold dear.

Sherman is running in a crowded Republican primary with several contenders, including U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra, former state administrator Adam Steen, State Rep. Eddie Andrews, and farmer-businessman Zach Lahn. Guth says Sherman has the leadership and vision to guide Iowa toward prosperity, concluding that he “enthusiastically supports Brad Sherman for governor.”

Guth represents Senate District 28 in north-central Iowa, which includes Wright and Franklin Counties in the broadcast area, as well as Hancock and Hamilton Counties and part of Humboldt County.
