Iowa State Treasurer Roby Smith is encouraging families to begin planning for future education costs through the ISave 529 Spring Giveaway.
The giveaway will award one lucky Iowan a $529 contribution to a child’s ISave 529 account. Smith says the program is a simple way for families to begin saving for education.
Iowans can register for the giveaway now through April 12 at ISave529.com/contest. Registration takes less than two minutes.
ISave 529 is Iowa’s direct-sold college savings plan administered by the State Treasurer’s Office. The accounts can be opened with as little as $25, and Iowa taxpayers can deduct up to $6,100 in contributions per beneficiary account from their state income taxes in 2026.
More information about the program is available at ISave529.com.
