Aplington-Parkersburg senior Sully Janssen was named the Class 2A recipient of the 2026 Student Athlete Achievement Award from the Iowa Bankers Association at last week’s state basketball tournament.
The award recognizes excellence in academics, athletics and leadership. He earned a $1,000 scholarship.
Janssen has participated in basketball, track & field and baseball during his high school career with the Falcons.
