Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig is inviting Iowans to take part in Iowa Ag Week, set for March 23 through 30.

The weeklong celebration highlights agriculture’s contributions to Iowa’s economy, communities and way of life, and is part of the state’s America250 observance marking the nation’s 250th anniversary.

Events throughout the week include volunteer service, National Ag Day activities, farmer recognition events and tours of agricultural businesses and conservation projects across the state.

Naig will also make stops in Mason City and northeast Iowa on Thursday, March 26, as part of the Choose Iowa initiative.

Iowans are encouraged to participate by supporting local farmers, volunteering or organizing community events.

More information is available through the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship’s social media channels.
