Franklin County Board of Supervisors sets agenda for March 24 meetings

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday, March 24 for both a regular session and a special session at the courthouse in Hampton.

The regular meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. and will include board committee updates. Supervisors will also hear drainage updates from legal counsel, Art Cady, and discuss drainage and conditional use permit approval process. 

Two public hearings are scheduled during the morning session, including one on a proposed amendment to the fiscal year 2026 county budget and another on a proposal to enter into a general obligation urban renewal loan agreement.

Supervisors are also expected to consider multiple utility permit requests for fiber optic projects across the county, along with a proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Later in the day, the board will reconvene for a special session at 1 p.m. to hold a public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2027 property tax levy.
