The Ackley City Council will hold two special session meetings Wednesday evening at City Hall.
The first meeting begins at 6 p.m. and will include a public hearing on the proposed property tax levy for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027.
A second special session is scheduled for 6:15 p.m., where council members will consider approval of the proposed fiscal year 2027 budget and set a date for a public hearing on the budget.
Additional agenda items include discussion of residential garbage bids, a decision on whether to appoint a mayor or hold a special election to fill a vacancy, and consideration of a wage increase resolution.
The council will also review a resolution authorizing the mayor pro tem and city clerk to execute certain financial institution documents.
