The Hampton City Council will hold a public hearing Thursday on the proposed fiscal year 2027 property tax levy.

Following the hearing, the council will meet in regular session and consider increasing pay for police reserve officers from $15 to $30 per hour, effective immediately. Police Chief Mark Morrison made the request during Monday’s workshop.

Council members will also consider approval of the final draft of the next fiscal year budget and set a date and time for a public hearing on the budget.

The meeting begins with the public hearing at 6:00 p.m. at city hall and is available on the city’s YouTube page.
