A Fort Dodge man has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison on child exploitation charges.
According to a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa, 21-year-old Pry’Shayn Mosley was sentenced March 23 in federal court in Sioux City after pleading guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of distribution of child pornography.
Authorities say Mosley admitted that between May and October 2022, he enticed two minors to engage in sexually explicit conduct to produce images and videos. He also admitted to possessing and distributing those materials to others, including other children.
During a search of his residence, law enforcement seized multiple electronic devices, along with marijuana, cash and two loaded firearms. Investigators say Mosley also attempted to have a juvenile destroy drug evidence during the search, but officers intervened.
Mosley was sentenced to 300 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $700 in fines and assessments.
The case was investigated by the Fort Dodge Police Department and the Webster County Sheriff’s Office as part of Project Safe Childhood.
