
The Wright County Board of Supervisors will meet Monday morning in Clarion, with a full agenda that includes policy decisions, infrastructure projects and economic development discussions.
Among the action items, the board will consider a courthouse grounds use policy request from the Clarion Development Alliance for multiple “Wright Nights on Main” events and a Festival in the Park this summer. Supervisors will also consider appointing Melisa Mendez as a Civil Process Server and act on a resolution for interfund transfers.
Economic development will be a focus, as the board discusses authorizing a request for proposals and qualifications for marketing the Wright County Agribusiness Park. Supervisors are also expected to discuss a potential merger between Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern and consider sending a letter of support.
Additional items include consideration of a Thrive Iowa grant for Wright County Public Health and a contract award for a bridge project presented by the county engineer.
Following the regular session, supervisors will reconvene as drainage trustees to handle drainage district business.
