Wright County officials are alerting residents to an upcoming bridge replacement project southeast of Belmond that will impact travel along Taylor Avenue.
Construction is scheduled to begin around noon on June 12 and continue through mid-September, weather permitting. The project involves replacing bridge No. 157A with a new 80-foot concrete slab bridge.
Work will take place on Taylor Avenue southeast of Belmond, with crews removing the existing structure before installing the new bridge.
No official detour will be posted, as the roadway is a granular route. However, staggered road closure signs will be placed at the intersections of Highway 69 and Taylor Avenue, as well as Belmond Road and Taylor Avenue, to allow local residents access to their homes during construction.
Officials say the project is expected to be completed by approximately Sept. 20.
