The AP/DNH boys soccer team will put its early season work to the test when it travels to defending 2A champion Gilbert Thursday.
Head Coach Cody Cummings says it’s a non-conference matchup he’s looking forward to as a true gauge of where the team stands.
AP/DNH (1-1) is coming off Tuesday’s 8-2 win at Columbus Catholic, where they scored the first seven goals on their way to the lopsided win. Aiden Merrill has scored five goals on the season, with four by Cooper Mulder.
Gilbert (1-0) began its season Tuesday with a 3-0 win over Mason City, where each goal was scored in the second half.
The game will start at 7:00 p.m.
