
The Sheffield City Council will take up a wide-ranging agenda at its meeting Monday, with items spanning infrastructure, finance, and seasonal staffing.
Council members are expected to consider a zoning request involving farmland near Casey’s, along with a public hearing and possible approval of a general obligation loan agreement to finance a new fire truck. Additional business includes a proposed tax abatement for a local property on Gilman Street and discussion of road repairs and traffic control measures.
The Sheffield Council will also focus on preparations for the 2026 pool season, including hiring decisions, wage resolutions and staffing requirements. Other agenda items include a hayfield lease agreement, cemetery expansion approval, and a review of a budget amendment for the current fiscal year.
The meeting is Monday at 6:00 p.m. at city hall.
