The Ackley City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday evening to address budget and personnel matters.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the council chambers.
Council members will begin with a public hearing on the proposed budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027. Following the hearing, the council is expected to consider a resolution to adopt the budget.
Additional agenda items include setting employee wages for the upcoming fiscal year and authorizing budgeted transfers. The council will also consider a resolution allowing city officials to execute certain financial institution documents.
In other business, council members will discuss a proposal from Pleva Mechanical Inc. related to a splash pad project.
The council is also expected to discuss and possibly take action on filling a current council vacancy, either by appointment or by calling a special election.
