The Aplington City Council set a public hearing date for its proposed fiscal year 2027 budget during its regular meeting April 8.
The hearing is scheduled for April 27 at 6 p.m., with budget adoption to follow at 6:15 p.m.
Public Works Director Jeff Ridder told the council a sewer line behind Casey’s will need to be made accessible for camera inspection.
The council also approved building permits for Kyle Schmitt and BJ Humphrey.
Council members received updates on recent fire department calls, insurance claims involving two damaged fire trucks and mask fit testing.
In other business, the council approved a quote from Nikki Winterberg for cleaning and waxing the community center floor.
