The Wright County Board of Supervisors approved a series of administrative actions and set a public hearing date during its regular meeting April 6.
Supervisors set a public hearing on the proposed county budget for April 27 at 9:15 a.m. as part of ongoing fiscal year 2027 planning.
The board also approved a resolution, formally adopting the county’s 2025 Comprehensive Plan following prior public input and review.
County Engineer Adam Clemons presented the fiscal year 2027 Iowa Department of Transportation secondary roads budget and five-year program. Both were approved, with one correction made to the five-year plan.
During the open forum, a resident spoke about property taxes, and the board recognized county employees Brian State and Cindy Berger for five years of service.
Supervisors also appointed a selection committee member for the Wright County Agribusiness Park marketing and brokerage request for proposals process.
The board entered two closed sessions — one to evaluate an employee and another to discuss potential real estate transactions — but took no action following either session.
