
The Dumont City Council will hold a regular meeting Thursday, April 16, at 6 p.m. at the Dumont EMS Building.
A public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2027 city budget is scheduled to open the meeting. Council members are expected to review any written or oral comments before considering a resolution to approve the budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027.
The agenda also includes presentations from Hampton-Dumont school officials, including Superintendent Tim Feldman and Middle School Principal Anthony Spradlin.
Representatives from the Butler-Grundy Development Alliance are scheduled to discuss economic development topics, while residents are expected to address issues including a street crack on Highland Avenue and a cemetery sidewalk.
In other business, the council will consider public works items, including hiring part-time help and equipment maintenance.
Departmental reports, nuisance abatement actions and approval of claims rounds out the agenda.
