The Hampton-Dumont School Board approved a transportation director agreement with Belmond-Klemme School District during their meeting Wednesday.

This comes after the resignation of H-D Transportation Director Dan Schipper, which was also approved during the meeting, along with other staff updates.

According to the agreement, B-K Transportation Director Brandon Allen will serve as the interim transportation director for Hampton-Dumont until they are able to fill the position, with H-D reimbursing B-K for 20 percent of his total compensation package.

H-D Superintendent Tim Felderman tells the Chronicle that he’s met Allen before, and that he’s been impressed with him so far. He says they also have plans of using Allen as a mentor for whoever is brought on, if that is needed.

Felderman says the school district recently shared a job listing for the position with current staff and plans on posting it publicly by the end of the week.
