A new adult art program aimed at beginners will be offered this spring through the Hardin County Extension Office.

The five-week series, titled “Art Made Easy: Discover Design Without the Pressure,” is scheduled for Wednesdays from May 6 through June 3, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Hardin County Extension Office in Iowa Falls. The program is open to individuals ages 19 and older, with a $50 registration fee that includes all materials.

Organizers say the series is designed for those with little or no art experience, focusing on building confidence through hands-on projects. Sessions will cover elements of design such as line and movement, shape and balance, color and contrast, texture and emphasis, and space and unity.

The program’s goal is to create a relaxed environment where participants can explore creativity without pressure.

Class size is limited to 12 participants, and pre-registration is required. To register or learn more call Katelyn Baltes at 641-648-4850 or email kbaltes@iastate.edu.
