Area natives Alexa Hoeltermann and Macala Donnelly competed in the Boston Marathon Monday.
Competing in the race for the second straight year, Donnelly finished in 3:14:57, good for 1,839th place in her division. She averaged 7:25 per mile.
Hoeltermann finished in 3:31:38, taking 3,352nd place in her division, averaging 8:03 per mile.
Both competed in the women’s 18-39 division.
