Two Arrested, Charged After Traffic Stop in Chapin

Two Hampton men were arrested on drug charges early Thursday morning, following a traffic stop in Chapin, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

Brett Vanderveen, 25, of Hampton is facing charges for possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Andrew Primrose, 25, of Hampton is facing charges for possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

The traffic stop took place shortly after 6 a.m. at Olive Ave and Main St.

Sheriff Aaron Dodd told the Chronicle that both were seen by the magistrate shortly before noon, and that both would be released from the sheriff’s office on their own recognizance.
