The Grundy County Board of Supervisors has approved the county’s Fiscal Year 2027 budget.
During Monday’s meeting, supervisors adopted the budget following a public hearing, where no residents spoke for or against the proposal. The plan had previously been published earlier this month.
In other business, the board approved a utility permit for Windstream to install underground fiber along 250th Street. This would be southeast of Grundy Center.
Supervisors also approved the sale of a 2006 dump truck to Davis County for $10,000, and the purchase of a new 2026 half-ton pickup from Rydell Chevrolet in Waterloo for just under $49,000.
Additional actions included approving conservation reserve program contracts with Freed Farms and a request from Kling Memorial Library to use courthouse grounds.
The board also recommended Dorothy Sheller for appointment to the Conrad Library Board of Trustees.
