The Wright County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing Monday on a proposed amendment to the county’s fiscal year 2025-26 budget.

The hearing will take place during the board’s regular meeting in the boardroom in the courthouse basement in Clarion. After the hearing, supervisors are expected to consider a resolution to adopt the budget amendment and approve appropriations to various departments.

The board also is scheduled to receive an update on the Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ decision on a construction permit for the Buffalo Site in Vernon Township. Supervisors will also discuss options related to the Taylor Avenue Bridge.

Other agenda items include a commemorative flag presentation from Dani Eisentrager, a member of the Iowa State Bar Foundation, in recognition of America’s 250th anniversary; consideration of a courthouse grounds use request from First Citizens Bank for July 24; and a fiscal year 2026 Iowa Department of Transportation secondary roads budget amendment with County Engineer Adam Clemons.

The board will convene as drainage trustees after its regular meeting to approve drainage claims, review drainage work orders and consider open drainage invoices.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m.
