OnTheGoMedia has expanded its regional media footprint by taking over full management and programming responsibilities for the KDAO station group.
The Hampton-based media company announced the strategic partnership Wednesday. The change became effective May 1 and adds KDAO properties in Eldora, Marshalltown and Grundy Center to OnTheGoMedia’s regional network.
The expanded portfolio now includes 104.9 KLMJ-FM in Hampton, 98.9 KQCR-FM in Parkersburg, the Hampton Chronicle, 92.9 KDAO-FM in Eldora, 1190 KDAO-AM in Marshalltown and its FM translators on 103.7 FM in Marshalltown and 94.3 FM in Grundy Center.
OnTheGoMedia President Shawn Dietz says the company plans to honor the legacy of the late Mark Osmundson, an Iowa Broadcast Hall of Famer and longtime KDAO owner.
Dietz says OnTheGoMedia is committed to maintaining strong local service while providing expanded resources for employees, listeners and advertisers. The company says additional platform changes will be announced as the transition continues.
