Cadets third, Bulldogs seventh, Cowgirls eighth at NCC Girls Golf Tournament

The Iowa Falls-Alden girls golf team placed third with 397 strokes at Monday’s North Central Conference Tournament at Legacy Golf Course in Mason City. They were 13 strokes behind runner-up Algona. Clear Lake won with a score of 347 and the top five individuals.

Hampton-Dumont-CAL scored 435 to place seventh. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows was eighth at 444.

Montana Thies led the Cadets with 92 strokes to place seventh. Noelle Winters tied for 13th at 99. Olivia Scholte was tied for 16th at 100. Reese Wood rounded out the scoring with 106 strokes to tie for 30th.

Keely Moorehead led Hampton-Dumont-CAL with 95 strokes to place 11th. Elsie Kuper tied for 30th with 106. Megan Severs tied for 35th with 113 and Yosi Ramirez completed the scoring with 121 strokes for 43rd place.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows was led by a 25th place finish by Blaire Askelsen with 103 strokes. Claire Kirstein tied for 26th at 104. Tess Wibholm scored 117 to place 38th. Quinn Brooks tied for 40th at 120.
