
Wright County supervisors approved a fiscal year 2025-26 budget amendment during their regular meeting May 4.
The board held a public hearing on the amendment, with no written comments received. Supervisors then approved Resolution 2026-15, adopting the amendment and appropriating funds to various departments.
Supervisors also discussed concerns about the Taylor Avenue bridge, where a guardrail and shoulder had been removed. Supervisor Rick Loux said he contacted the Iowa Department of Transportation and questioned whether removal of the shoulder was required. County Engineer Adam Clemons said the bridge was installed according to plans approved by the board and the Iowa DOT.
The board also approved the fiscal year 2026 Iowa DOT Secondary Roads Budget Amendment.
Supervisors later entered a closed session. No action was taken after the closed session.
