
The Sports Beat programs from RadioOnTheGo Sports aired Saturday, presented on 104.9 KLMJ by Mort’s Water Company and on 99 The Wave by Brother’s Market in Parkersburg and Grundy Center.
Student-athletes who qualified for the state track & field meet headlined the programs. Featured interviews included automatic qualifiers from the 2A meet at Hudson, 2A meet at Roland-Story and the 3A meet at Clear Lake, along with some of their head coaches.
On 104.9 KLMJ, AP/DNH soccer players and Coach Cody Cummings discussed winning the NICL championship and the upcoming postseason. AGWSR Boys Golf Coach Ryley Schipper and West Fork Boys Golf Coach Corey Smith highlighted their teams that advanced to the district meets. Hampton-Dumont-CAL Boys Soccer Coach Danielle Arana previewed the postseason, and Wright County Boys Soccer Coach Ethan Krogman discussed the program’s first conference championship.
On 99 The Wave, Aplington-Parkersburg Boys Golf Coach Klay Hoppenworth and Grundy Center Boys Golf Coach Dennis Dirks discussed their teams advancing to the district meets. Clarksville Softball Coach Katie Burman previewed the season as the team prepares to defend its 1A championship.
