Butler County Extension is moving into the rest of its summer programming after the Butler County Fair and Fourth of July holiday.
The extension office will be at the Parkersburg farmers market Saturday for its Meet Me at the Farmers Market program. Butler County Extension program coordinator Lesley Milius says she will have a fresh vegetable cowboy caviar dip for people to sample. She will also visit the Greene farmers market from 4 to 6 p.m. July 14.
Also returning this month is the Little Clover Sprouts program, which is geared toward early learning for 3- to 7-year-olds. Milius says this month’s topic is all about bugs.
“Our Little Clover Sprouts program will be starting again for the July topic, which is bugs, insects and other creepy crawlies,” says Milius. “So we’re going to be talking about all kinds of insects and bugs, spiders, and some of those types of things. We’re going to do a little bug hunt. We’re going to have some other fun doing some different things too. So it should be a great little bug adventure.”
The first Little Clover Sprouts program will be held at 10 a.m. July 15 at the Clarksville Library, with more sessions available throughout the month. For more information and a complete schedule of events, visit extension.iastate.edu/butler.
