A 48-year-old Hubbard man was arrested on multiple charges over the weekend after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop in Franklin County.
Deputies attempted to stop Vince L. Ankrum around 6:50 p.m. in the 100 block of Highway 65 on July 12, while he was riding a 2000 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Ankrum allegedly did not stop. Franklin County Sheriff Aaron Dodd tells RadioOnTheGo News Ankrum was later stopped by deputies in the 1000 block of Highway 65 around 7:04 p.m.
Ankrum was charged with eluding, driving while revoked, interference with official acts, failure to provide SR-22 insurance and failure to operate a vehicle with an ignition interlock device.
Dodd says Ankrum was held at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office until he appeared before a magistrate. He was then released on his own recognizance.
The charges are accusations and Ankrum is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
