The Hampton-Dumont-CAL golf teams were both defeated by West Fork in their season openers. The boys fell 183-201 on the road and the girls lost 227-253 at home. The boys were led by Dawson Wikert with 47 strokes. Kenzie Moorehead led the girls with 57 strokes. Both teams will return to action at Wednesday’s IFA Cadet Tournament at 10:00 a.m.
The boys track & field team placed fourth with 77 points at the Clear Lake Boys Invitational. Medalists:

The boys tennis team fell 9-0 at Nevada. At 1-3, their next meet will be Thursday at home against Grundy Center.
The girls tennis team fell 8-1 at home to Nevada. Abby Drier won 8-5 at #1 singles. The 0-4 Bulldogs will be at Grundy Center Thursday.
The girls soccer team fell 7-2 at Charles City, scoring twice in the second half after trailing 7-0. At 0-5-1, they’ll return to action Thursday at Garner Hayfield Ventura.
