The Hampton Memorial Day service is May 26th with a few changes this year.
The service, held at the Hampton Cemetery in years past, will be held at Band Shell Park this year. There will not be a parade preceding the ceremony.
Some of the highlights of the ceremony include the Hampton-Dumont-CAL High School and Hampton Community bands performing before, during and after the ceremony and the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Senior Quartet of Isaac Sauke, Elian Trevino, Jaliyah Ivey and Shakira Vela Maza singing the national anthem.
OnTheGoMedia President Shawn Dietz will be the guest speaker and State Representative Shannon Latham of Sheffield will be on hand to read the Gettysburg Address.
The Hampton American Legion Post 183 Memorial Day service will be Monday, May 26th at 10:00 a.m. at Band Shell Park.
