
Friday about 1:25am the Mason City Police Department responded to a burglar alarm at Hart Brothers Weaponry at 613 South Federal Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the front door open. Upon entering, they found a smashed display case that was missing several weapons. Upon further investigation, search warrants were obtained for four Mason City residences and two vehicles. During the execution of the warrants, seven handguns were recovered, six of which were stolen in the burglary at Hart Brothers.
Charges have been filed against four people:
-18-year-old LaDanian Pannhoff of Mason City was charged with 4th degree theft and 1st offense trafficking in stolen weapons.
-19-year-old Parker Thompson of Mason City was charged with conspiracy to commit a nonforcible felony and 1st offense trafficking in stolen weapons.
-19-year-old Dayce Nixon of Mason City was charged with 1st offense trafficking in stolen weapons.
-And a 17-year-old male juvenile was charged with 3rd degree burglary and first offense trafficking in stolen weapons.
Numerous law enforcement agencies assisted the Mason City Police Department as the investigation continues.
