This week, the Wright County Board of Supervisors reviewed a 28E Agreement with the city of Dows for Law Enforcement services. Supervisor Betty Ellis explained it is a year-to-year agreement and that the city had already signed it. The agreement is effective August 1st, 2025 through July 2026 in the amount of $26,350.
Sheriff Jason Schluttenhofer was not present at the meeting and supervisor Dean Kluss stated he wasn’t sure if Schluttenhofer had reviewed it. The board then tabled action on the agreement until the sheriff had reviewed it.
In other business, County Engineer Adam Clemons met with the board to discuss posting a new truck driver position in the Clarion Maintenance Facility. After reviewing details of the vacancy and the requirements of advertising the job opening, the board approved a motion to have Clemons restructure the job posting within the department.
