The Grundy County Board of Supervisors has a pair of meetings scheduled Tuesday (Sept. 2) in Grundy Center. The board will first meet for the regular meeting at 9 a.m. Items on the agenda include utility permits for electric and fiber projects from Alliant Energy, Dumont Telephone, and ITC Midwest. Supervisors will also review a low bid for courthouse roof repairs and consider a resolution to abate more than $1,100 in property taxes on an abandoned parcel in Beaman. The property was awarded to the City of Beaman by court order, making it tax-exempt under Iowa law.

At 10 a.m., Grundy Supervisors will reconvene at the county engineer’s office for a work session. That meeting will focus on road maintenance and construction design standards.

Both meetings are open to the public, with a Zoom option available for the public to join the 9 a.m. session.
