The Aplington-Parkersburg volleyball team won all five matches at Saturday’s tournament at St. Edmond. In the process, Head Coach Candace Kleespies earned her 100th win as the program’s head coach, having held the role since 2022.
The Falcons began the day with a 2-1 win over the hosts. They bounced back from a set 1 loss to win 19-21, 21-8, 15-13. After that match, they didn’t drop a set the rest of the day.
The Falcons found some more breathing room in their next match, beating Bishop Garrigan 21-10, 21-17. That was followed by a 21-11, 21-15 win over Pocahontas Area.
Next was the most lopsided win of the day, defeating Southeast Valley 21-6, 21-11. They finished the day with a 21-18, 21-11 win over Webster City, which was the 100th victory in the Kleespies era.
They’ll return to action Tuesday by hosting a triangular with #2 (1A) North Tama and Valley Lutheran.
