Multiple Law Enforcement Agencies Respond to Accident on I-35

A Clear Lake man was injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon on Interstate 35 in Franklin County.

Franklin County Sheriff Aaron Dodd told RadioOnTheGo News that dispatchers received multiple 911 calls around 2:15 p.m. reporting a motorcycle down in the median near the 164 mile marker. Callers said a man was lying next to the motorcycle and was not moving, though he was conscious and breathing.

Franklin General Ambulance, Franklin County deputies and the Iowa State Patrol responded to the scene. The driver, identified as 56-year-old Chad R. Tannahill of Clear Lake, was transported to Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.

Dodd told RadioOnTheGo News the Iowa State Patrol completed the accident report; however, details of the accident and the condition of Tannahill are unknown at this time.
